Why Women Need Women: The Power of Gathering in Circle
There’s something special that happens when women come together.
Not just to catch up over coffee or talk about what’s happening in their lives, but to slow down. To listen. To be witnessed. To share what’s really going on underneath the surface.
There’s a different kind of connection that becomes possible when we create a space where we don’t have to have it all figured out.
We can simply arrive as we are.
We’re Not Meant to Do Everything Alone

So much of life asks women to keep going, to take care of others, to be productive, to show up. To hold everything together. And somewhere along the way, we can lose touch with what we need. Sometimes we don’t even realize how much we’ve been carrying until we finally have a space where we can put some of it down.
Being in a circle of women can offer that space. A place where you don’t have to explain every part of yourself. A place where someone else’s story reminds you that you’re not the only one navigating uncertainty, change, grief, growth, or big dreams.
There Is Power in Being Seen
One of the most transformative things we can experience is simply being seen. Not for what we accomplish, and not for how well we’re holding everything together. But for who we actually are. When we share honestly and someone listens without trying to fix us, something can begin to soften. We may feel less alone. We may discover that the things we thought made us “too much” or “not enough” are actually deeply human experiences.
And sometimes, hearing another woman speak her truth gives us permission to speak our own.
A Circle Gives Us Space to Slow Down
There’s also something powerful about stepping away from the constant doing. When we slow down, we can begin to notice what’s happening inside of us.
What am I feeling?
What do I need?
What have I been avoiding?
What is asking for my attention?
This is part of what I love about incorporating somatic practices into women’s circles. Instead of only talking about our experiences, we have an opportunity to notice them in the body.
To breathe.
To move.
To pause.
To reconnect with ourselves in a way that feels tangible and real.
We Grow Through Connection
Transformation doesn’t always happen through doing more. Sometimes it happens through being with others who remind us of who we are.
A women’s circle can become a place to dream bigger, ask for what you want, take bold steps, celebrate your wins, and have the difficult conversations you may have been avoiding.
It can be a place to practice being fully yourself.
And when you feel supported, you may find yourself willing to do things you once felt too afraid to do alone.
There is something powerful about having women beside you as you grow into the next version of yourself.
You Don’t Have to Arrive With a Plan
You don’t need to know exactly what you’re looking for before joining a circle.
You don’t need to be “good” at sharing.
You don’t need to have a big breakthrough.
You can simply come as you are.
Maybe you’re feeling disconnected from yourself.
Maybe you’re moving through a transition.
Maybe you’re craving deeper friendships.
Maybe you’re simply longing for a place where you can exhale.
Whatever brings you, there is room for you.
Coming Back to Yourself
For me, women’s circles are ultimately about coming back to yourself, your body, and your intuition. Back to the parts of you that can get quiet when life becomes too busy or when you spend so much time caring for everyone else. And we don’t have to do that alone. Sometimes another woman sitting beside you, listening and sharing her own story, is enough to remind you:
I’m not alone.
I’m allowed to take up space.
I can trust myself.
I don’t have to figure everything out on my own.
Come Join Me in Circle
If you’ve been craving a little more space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and experience the kind of connection that feels real and nourishing, I’d love to invite you to join me for Return to the Body — Cohort 4. We’ll spend three evenings together exploring gentle somatic practices, reflection, sharing, movement, and simply being in community with other women. You don’t need to arrive with anything figured out. Just come as you are, and give yourself the opportunity to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself and with others.
I’d love to have you in the circle.

That is the power of gathering in circle.
Not because women need to be fixed, but because we are human beings who need connection, support, and spaces where we can be fully ourselves.
And sometimes, when we come together, we remember something we had forgotten:
We were never meant to do it all alone.
